The Murder of Carolyn Killaby

In November 1995, Carolyn Killaby disappeared after a night out in Vancouver, Washington. Her car was found days later outside a bar with no signs of struggle—only a cryptic note and growing concern from family and friends. As detectives retraced her steps, all signs pointed to one man: a convicted killer with a violent past and a trail of blood he couldn’t fully erase.

What followed was a high-stakes investigation involving forensic breakthroughs, shifting alibis, and a fugitive who vanished just as charges were closing in. Even with a conviction secured, one question remains unanswered: where is Carolyn Killaby?

This episode examines one of Washington’s most chilling cases—where justice came close, but not all the answers were found.
